BAE Systems Land and Armaments has been awarded a $53.8 million U.S. Army contract for work on Brazilian M109A5 Howitzers.

The firm-fixed-price foreign military sales contract will cover the upgrade and repair of 32 of the 155mm self-propelled Howitzer.

Work will be performed in multiple locations. The estimated completion date is March 2019.

Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity.

The U.S. State Department approved a sale in 2014 of Howitzer upgrade kits and associated equipment parts, training and logistics as part of a deal that was estimated to be worth $110 million at the time.

Bukkehave gets Iraqi Land Cruiser contract modification

Bukkehave Inc. has been awarded a $25.9 million U.S. Army contract modification for Toyota Land Cruiser trucks for Iraq.

The modification to the foreign military sales contract covers 600 of the 4-door trucks.

Work will be performed in the United Arab Emirates. The expected completion date is February 2017.
