Xenesis.io has signed a formal License Agreement with NASA's Office of Technology Transfer, for the further development, manufacture and distribution of the World's first functional Free Space Optical Transceiver Terminal, for commercial Space to Earth communications.

The agreement allows Xenesis to license NASA/JPL optical hardware, which will lead the global communications industry into the next technological era.

The invention is a low cost, small form factor, laser transceiver, which is packaged in less than 1KG. It is capable of >10Gb/s two-way transmission of any kind of data, from UHD video to VOIP or static data.

This is important, because up till now, the best demonstrated continuous data-rates offered by any other optical company, have been <1Gb/s.

Mark LaPenna, Xenesis' CEO said "we look forward to bringing this technology to the Space industry in a low cost approach, and eventually to our own MEO (Mid Earth Orbit) Constellation dubbed "Intercessor".

He went on to further state "we also look forward to partnering with industry, to deliver not only a functional unit, but one that will open the doors to innovation, while also lowering the barriers to entry into Space for smaller companies".

Xenesis is a communications company specializing in the development of leading edge technologies around the Space to Ground market. With a collective 100+ years experience and the industry's best partnerships, they are poised to forever alter the course of Human communications.

CONFERS to Establish "Rules of the Road" for On-Orbit Servicing of Satellites

"Rules of the road"-widely accepted norms of safety-related behavior based on common understanding-have existed in various forms over the centuries, and have evolved as new technologies have revolutionized how people and vehicles travel. But how are these "rules" created when common understanding of new capabilities is not yet established?

This question plays directly into why DARPA has in … read more
