The Russian defence ministry will sell over 100 planes and nearly 20 helicopters in 2008, Ria Novosti news agency reported Monday.
The agency cited the ministry's statement that 102 planes, including cargo planes such as An-22, An-12, An-26, and the L-39 trainers will be sold in public sales starting in May.
The ministry will also organise a public sale of six ships including an oil tanker, barges and tugboats.
Proceeds from the sale would go in part towards resolving the problem of housing for Russian soldiers, the agency said.
