One person was killed and 11 were missing on Friday after a ship carrying sand sank amid rough seas off northeastern China, state media reported.
The ship from central China's Hubei province, went down Thursday night in the Bohai Gulf off Liaoning province, Xinhua news agency said, quoting local officials.
It quoted local fish farmers as saying the ship was seen earlier with 11 men and one woman aboard.
One body was recovered after the sinking, the report said, without giving further details.
A search was under way for those missing, it added.
