GPS Industries has finalized an agreement with On-Pin GPS Golf Systems (ON-PIN) to distribute and service the company's complete range of GPS products in territories that include Australia and New Zealand. The product range includes Inforemer, the most advanced solution of its kind, providing an enriched playing experience for golfers, and a comprehensive suite of management tools for course operators.
GPS Industries serves presently more than 340 leading golf facilities on five continents and owns the patent for position-based advertising on golf courses. As a result of the recent acquisition of UPLINK, the range also includes the INOVA product, a complete intelligent GPS solution.
"The combination of the patent portfolios of GPSI and UPLINK is very powerful to not only the HDX technology for course display information to golfers, but also to the industry leading golf cart management solutions, and to its proprietary position-based advertising display capabilities," said Doug Wood, CEO of GPSI. "The synergy of the patent and technology positions of these two entities catapults GPSI into the industry leadership role."
"We are excited to have ON-PIN join our team. ON-PIN and GPSI are natural partners given our long and established backgrounds in the GPS for golf industry, and I look forward to a very successful collaboration," continued Wood.
Al Hickson, Director of Sales for ON-PIN, says that the new agreement has tremendous benefits for local golf facilities: "We can now offer our customers an unsurpassed range of industry leading products and solutions from the GPSI portfolio, backed by our combined experience in service, and local support."
