The U.S. space agency says this is a good week to get "an incredible view" of the International Space Station flying 220 miles above the Earth.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration officials say the station will be in nearly constant sunlight Wednesday through Friday, "offering an incredible view to sky gazers across the country."
The space station — a partnership between the space agencies of the United States, Russia, Japan, Canada and Europe — is observing its 10th anniversary this year. Construction began in 1998 and will be completed in 2010.
Another unique viewing opportunity for sky watchers is when the shuttle is docked at the station, making it appear even brighter in the night sky.
