On March 11, 2008 S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia hosted the enlarged field working meeting of Expert Board on legislative support to develop Defense – Industrial Complex, of which the Chairman of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly Federal Council is in charge.
Opening the meeting, S.M. Mironov, the Chairman of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly Federal Council, welcomed its participants, focused their attention on the need to improve legal framework for innovative development of the national machine – building and expressed his thanks to RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev for an opportunity to hold the field meeting in the Corporation.
The meeting participants heard the report delivered by I.S. Silayev, the President of the National Technological Chamber and the second report made by A.N. Perminov, the Head of the Federal Space Agency.
Also among those speaking at the meeting were N.F. Moiseyev, the Director of Defense Industry and High Technologies Department attached to the Russian Federation Government; V.A. Lopota, the President of OAO RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev, Corporation General Designer, Yu.S. Yeliseyev, the General Director of FGUP "Federal Scientific – Production Center Salyut", I.P. Kuptsov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Government, Penza Region, B.V. Gusev, the President of the Russian Engineering Academy; I.B.
Fyodorov, rector of MGTU after N.E. Bauman; A.V. Kostyunin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, OAO Shipbuilding yard "Avangard"; V.D. Rudashevskiy, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Commerce and Industry Chamber in charge of scientific and technical innovations and high technologies; V.A. Nikulin, rector of private educational establishment "Kamsky Institute of Humanitarian and Engineering Technologies".
The Expert Council accepted the recommendation aimed at developing the national machine-building, including improvement of legal framework, and creating a long-term strategy of its advance.
At the close of the meeting, S.M. Mironov, the Chairman of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly Federal Council, and other participants of the meeting were introduced to the manufacture of rocket and space technology and consumer goods at RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev, as well as the Corporation history and achievements after visiting the enterprise Museum and seeing its exposition.
In the course of familiarization with RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev, S.M. Mironov, the Chairman of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly Federal Council, answered the questions asked by the representatives of the Russian mass media accredited at this event.
