General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has received a $310 million contract for the U.S. Army's MQ-1C Gray Eagle drone program.
The cost-plus-incentive-fee contract will cover logistics support for the drone's sustainment operations.
Work will be performed in California and has an estimated completion date of October 2017.
The Army Contracting Command is the contracting entity.
The Gray Eagle provides Army forces with a long-endurance, armed, unmanned aerial system that offers greater range, altitude and payload flexibility over previous systems.
It is powered by a heavy fuel engine that brings higher performance, better fuel efficiency and a longer lifetime.
