Editorial Team

The Nuclear Power Daily Editorial Team produces Nuclear Power Daily's coverage of nuclear energy. We report on reactors and small modular reactors, the fuel cycle, waste and safety, policy, and fusion research. Articles reflect our team's collective editorial process, source verification, drafting, technical review, and editing, rather than a single writer's work. Nuclear Power Daily takes editorial responsibility for content under this byline. For more on how we work, see our editorial policy.

Using Supercomputers To Make Safer Nuclear Reactors

Troy NY (SPX) Nov 05, 2007 - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is leading a $3 million research project that will pair two of the world's most powerful supercomputers to boost the safety and reliability of next-generation nuclear power reactors. The three-year project, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, will call upon a diverse team of researchers and institutions to create highly detailed computer models of a new proposed type of nuclear reactor.
